For my sweet roommate Shana, who just got back from Israel on a Birthright trip  and LOVES being Jewish (or maybe just Jewish cooking? lol).

This is that good stuff that I was raised on, every Friday night Shabbat dinner my mom would make this, it’s my brother’s favorite. I added some extra ingredients, basically any canned fruit is nice. And the cornflake topping is amazing – the recipe I used called for a melted butter-brown sugar-cornflake topping, while my mom usually just does standard cornflakes to make the top a little crunchy.

Such great comfort food!
